Tổng quan bài thi Speaking

Trước khi bắt đầu vào cách làm bài thi Topic Holiday IELTS Speaking, ta phải tìm hiểu tổng thể cấu trúc bài thi IELTS Speaking trước. Bài thi Speaking là phần thi kiểm tra kỹ năng giao tiếp, thuộc 1 trong bốn phần thi của bài thi IELTS. Bài thi sẽ diễn ra dưới hình thức đối thoại trực tiếp giữa giám khảo và thí sinh và thường kéo dài từ 11 – 15 phút.

Bài thi bao gồm 3 phần:

• Part 1: Thí sinh sẽ được hỏi về các vấn đề gần gũi, quen thuộc trong cuộc sống hàng ngày như là gia đình, công việc, sở thích, … Phần thi này thường diễn ra trong khoảng 4 – 5 phút.
• Part 2: Trong phần này, giám khảo sẽ đưa cho người dự thi một tờ giấy có viết chủ đề cần bàn luận. Thí sinh sẽ có khoảng 1 phút để chuẩn bị câu trả lời và phải trả lời trong 2 phút. Ngoài ra, giám khảo cũng có thể hỏi thêm một số câu hỏi liên quan khác.
• Part 3: Ở phần này, giám khỏa sẽ hỏi thêm về chủ đề đã bàn ở Part 2 một cách khái quát, trừu tượng và chuyên sâu hơn. Phần thi kéo dài từ 4 – 5 phút.

Câu hỏi 1: Do you prefer to travel or stay home during holidays? Why?

Mẫu trả lời: I would rather stay at home during holidays because holidays are the time when I can finally put my feet up and get away from it all. Besides, a lot of people tend to go out during the holidays too, so tourist destinations will be full of people. To be honest, traveling to places like that will stress me out.

The food is diverse and delicious, and the people are generally very welcoming. The only drawback might be the hot and humid weather in some seasons, but overall, I think it’s a fantastic place for anyone looking for a memorable holiday.

Câu hỏi 2: Describe a place you visited on vacation.

I would love to share with you about my two-day trip to Tam Dao town, located in the Tam Dao mountain range, Vinh Phuc Province, Hanoi. I went there with my classmate last year during summer vacation. It was a self-catering tour that we signed in to escape the heat of summer.

The moment I stepped out of the coach, I was immediately mesmerized by the tranquil and exotic scenery. We got to visit a lot of interesting places, chief among them were Tam Dao National Park and Sky Gate. My first impression of Tam Dao National Park is that it has a very serene atmosphere. The floating clouds running parallel to the tree were truly breathtaking.

In Sky Gate, I got an overview of foggy Tam Dao which seems as if it was a city floating among the white cloud in the big blue sky. The scenery will forever stay in my mind.

We chose Da Lat because it’s known for its cool weather, stunning landscapes, and romantic vibe. We stayed in a cozy guesthouse surrounded by pine trees, which gave us a sense of being close to nature. During the trip, we explored several attractions, like the Valley of Love and Langbiang Mountain, where we enjoyed breathtaking views. One of my favorite moments was visiting a local flower garden—it was so colorful and peaceful, perfect for taking photos. We also tried some local specialties, like artichoke tea and grilled rice paper, which were surprisingly delicious.

What made this holiday so special was the quality time I spent with my family. We don’t often get the chance to travel together, so sharing those moments—laughing, exploring, and just relaxing—was really precious. The cool climate and serene atmosphere also helped me unwind completely. Looking back, it was the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation, and I’d love to revisit Da Lat someday.

Câu hỏi 3: Do you think young people like vacations during holidays more than old people? Why?

Mẫu trả lời: 

In my opinion, age doesn’t affect people’s love for travel. However, our age does play a role in choosing our tourist destination.

I think since young people are adventurous and spirited, they are more likely to go to places with lots of festivities or places that require physical strength like mountain climbing. Young people are known to go off the beaten path to satisfy their thirst for adventure.

Old people, on the other hand, would prefer somewhere relaxing like a church, pagoda, or maybe a lake to go fishing there. It is also more common for old people to stay with their family during holiday as well. However, some young people are content with staying in their hometown during holidays while some old people would prefer hitting the road to explore new places. In short, the love for travel is a personal choice rather than something that can be affected by age.
