Scientists tell us some activities are good for health and others are bad. Despite knowing that millions of people continue doing unhealthy activities. What are the causes and what are the solutions?

In modern society, the consequences of unhealthy lifestyles are warned by several experts. Although people are aware of health importance, they find it difficult to stop doing unhealthy activities which leads to a higher risk of health problems and serious living effects. This essay will discuss several causes and suggest some solutions to tackle this issue.

There are different reasons to explain this problem. This can be, firstly, explained by the fact that people are too engrossed in work to forget how important health is. Many adults not only work eight hours per day, but also they continue to do other part-time jobs with a stable income desire. Therefore, they have trouble balancing work and personal activities. Sometimes, addressing big workload requirements leaves them with hardly any choice but to do unsound activities, such as an irregular sleep cycle and erratic eating habits. Secondly, once people are addicted to unhealthy habits, it is difficult for them to regulate. For example, people with smoking habits cannot reduce their dependence on cigarettes due to their high addictiveness. Besides, it is also unable to bring people with a sedentary lifestyle to be more active because doing exercises or other physical activities seems to be bothering them.

To solve this problem, solutions are presented suggested as below. One of which is that a healthy lifestyle should be promoted in the working and life environment. For instance, educating and self-educating about the influences of lifestyle should be stimulated by launching online competitions involving healthy activities. In addition, employees should apply smart tools to manage and build scientific working schedules. Nonetheless, companies are suggested to raise bonuses or support for difficult family circumstances so that they can feel less pressure to have better incomes. On the other hand, an unhealthy lifestyle should be strictly criticized in the media as a method to raise awareness of its consequences.

In conclusion, there are indeed various causes regarding unsound activities, yet, they can be solved once measures are enlisted imperatively.

In education and employment, some people work harder than others. Why do some people work harder? Is it always a good thing to work hard?

It is almost a universal phenomenon these days that some people try to work harder than their mates. A variety of reasons can explain why this is the case.  In my opinion, I do appreciate these people who work hard, however, whether it is always good to keep working so hard is questionable.

People work hard for several possible reasons. First of all, working hard is widely regarded as a virtue in some cultures around the world. In China, for example, parents feel satisfied when their children are praised by their teachers as diligent students. This kind of appraisal stays in our subconscious mind and influences our behaviour when we grow up. Secondly, due to the limited resources in the job market and the ensuing fierce competition, being hardworking is a way to prove that you are worthy of the position. Furthermore, working hard can also be considered a sign of pursuing a desirable future. People persuade themselves to work hard in order to offer themselves better life conditions and assure themselves of their ideal lifestyle.

There is no denying that hard work brings many benefits as it can take one to a higher level and become a better version of oneself. However, I would understand life as a marathon rather than a dash. Sometimes we need to set a ‘speed limit’, and in this case, it means learning to rest. During the rest, we can do introspection and self-reflection knowing exactly which direction we want to go next. Through energy recovery, we gain the power to reboot as well. I once read a saying that the truth of life is hidden in our breath. Normally we breathe at our natural rate, but in an emergency, we can also increase its frequency to make a reaction. Besides, hard work day and night can be exhausting, while a break can sometimes bring unexpected good fortune.

In short, there are many factors that lead to the prevalence of hard work today. I would suggest people learn to be aware of the importance of recovery instead of working hard on a daily basis.

Solving environmental problems should be the responsibility of one international organization rather than each national government. Do you agree or disagree?

The 21st century witnessed the dawn of industrialization, due to which numerous factories were set up. To generate higher revenues these factories, increased their production manifold, which has put stress on the environment. Some factions of society contemplate that national authorities should take steps to resolve these, while I agree that international organisations can control this situation, and the following essay will cite the reasons for the same.

Firstly, international organisations can sign an understanding among various geographies to use green energy fuels, consequently; the emissions from the set-ups will be cleaner. The G20 nations, for instance, have decided to use water to generate 50% of the nation’s electricity, as opposed to coal, and they will share the surplus power with the deprived nations. Furthermore, the developed nations have more exposure to technology for controlling poisonous emissions, therefore, the learnings can be shared with developing geographies, which can be implemented to lower the contaminations.

Secondly, the global bodies can implement a treaty to do some financial support, which will bolster the weaker nations to swap the setup in their factories with some advanced technologies, which will enable production units to utilize cleaner fuels, hence lower pollution levels. For example, Germany is helping Jordan to set up various dams to generate electricity, as opposed to coal being used. Moreover, because these latest technologies, require less space as compared to traditional ones, as a result, the extra land can be used to plant vegetation, and they act as natural air purifiers.

In conclusion, due to the above explanations, I am inclined to say that international bodies have a more crucial role to play to combat the pollution of the atmosphere, as compared to national lawmakers.

Some people think it is necessary to travel abroad to learn about other countries. Others think TV and the internet gives us all the information so people don’t need to go abroad. Discuss both views and your opinion.

Due to globalization, many countries have flourished recently. They have acquired new stature as well as  global recognition based on the traveller’s feedback. Some people believe that we can see other parts of the world by using modern technologies, whereas some believe that it is necessary to personally travel to desired locations and experience by themselves. In this essay, I would discuss both  views and put forward my opinion.

To begin with, due to the wide usage of handheld devices and fast internet it is easy to have access to images and live-streaming videos from all around the world. We can use websites like google and yahoo to search and learn about various nations and witness their unique culture while sitting in our own personal space. For example,  it is easy nowadays to recreate Italian-style pasta by looking at  youtube videos and copying them to perfection. Furthermore, to know more about different countries, cultures and languages people mostly prefer to watch traveller channels which can save the effort of them personally visiting  that place as it is hefty to travel overseas and requires a lot of documentation. Hence, it is apparent why many people are in favour of the above stance.

To continue further, there are people who love to travel and like to explore different geographical locations on their own and gain first-hand experience. This is because people like to express their personal opinions and thoughts on the nations they explore and compare them with their own country. Moreover, they also visit and travel with local people to grab the essence of their culture. To exemplify, multiple IT organisations arrange yearly trips for their employees to visit their client location overseas and that helps employees to understand the client culture and way of doing business. However, the cost of travelling is borne by the organisation but the experience that employees gain helps them to excel in their careers.

Lastly, in my opinion, it would be wise to say that, it is necessary to travel abroad and experience the culture and cuisines by themselves and not rely much on television as the information televised might not be as fresh as it should be.

In many countries, a small number of people earn extremely high salaries. Some people believe that this is good for the country, but others think that governments should not allow salaries above a certain level. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

There is an ongoing debate about whether governments should allow high-level salaries or not. Some people believe that it can not be justifiable to have extremely high profits, others claim that having an opportunity to earn money inordinately is feasible for a country. I strongly believe that exemptions about the level of gained revenue might be a serious problem for the harmony of the society.

To begin with, many are on the side of a belief that earning a high level of money is the main key to an egalitarian society in today’s world. To expand the idea, several countries, which are revered for giving freedom to all people, do not have any restrictions over salaries as they are called liberal states. Furthermore, along with the freedom, contributing to a country’s economic prosperity can not be neglectable because the more they gain money, the more taxes they are responsible for paying. To cite an example, there is legislation about the tariffs that people must pay 36 per cent of their yearly salary to the government in European countries. That emphasises the significance of the excessive level of salaries which is a boon.

With regard to the opposite side of the view, people believe that salaries should be restrained by governments to some extent. What is more, while taking people who are divided into 3 parts: prosperous, medium, and indigent into account, it is unavoidable that exorbitant salaries might lead to destroying the harmony of the society in any country. For instance, India is well-known for its social divisions which have a great chasm between them because elite people get a high level of profit from their businesses, which is the main problem of the destruction. Consequently, I firmly opine that its advantages are eclipsed by its disadvantages, and for that reason, there should be rules in order to gain profit.

To conclude, although people tend to have freedom and free choices, and its benefits in the economy are obvious, the communities, occasionally, can fade into oblivion since a certain level of freedom is dangerous.

Animal testing for medical research is a controversial topic that has been debated for years. Some people argue that it is acceptable to use animals for medical research to benefit human beings, while others believe that it is impossible. In this essay, both sides of the argument will be discussed, and my opinion will be presented.

On the one hand, supporters of using animals for tests argue that it is essential for the advancement of medical research. Animal experimentation has contributed to the development of many important medical treatments and drugs that have saved countless human lives. Additionally, animal research helps scientists to understand how drugs and treatments work and to identify potential side effects of new drugs.

On the other hand, opponents of animal testing claim that living creatures have rights and should not be subjected to cruel and inhumane treatment. Animals used for experimentation are often subjected to painful procedures and are sometimes killed. Furthermore, animal testing is not always reliable, as animals can react differently to drugs and treatments than humans.

In my opinion, while animal testing has contributed to important medical advancements, it is essential to consider the ethical implications of using animals in this way. Alternatives to it, such as computer modeling and in vitro techniques, should be used whenever possible. Moreover, strict regulations must be put in place to ensure that animals are not subjected to unnecessary harm and suffering during experiments.

In conclusion, animal testing for medical research is a contentious issue. While it has contributed to important medical advancements, it is important to consider the ethical implications of using animals in this way.
